Joe joined Alpine to study under his mentor Mike Fischesser, who created the Alpine Tower design and started the company in 1989. Starting as a part time builder

in 1991, Joe moved to a full time office role in 1996. Full time in those days meant a lot of climbing and paddling (with Mike), but they did manage to keep things going! Joe took over the full management of the company in 1999. He currently lives, works, climbs and skis from his home in Mammoth Lakes, California with his wonderful family.

Business Office Director

Moria is our Business Director and oversees the daily business and financial operations for Alpine Towers. She has been with the company since 2018.

She is a graduate of East Carolina University and has over 5 years experience in the construction field. Her experience has led her into many different areas in the business over the years giving her a great understanding of business operations and procedures.

Director of Program Services

Kara is our Program Services Director and oversees Training, Inspections, Maintenance and operational reviews. She has been with Alpine Towers since 2019.

Director of Construction

Ryan is our Director of Construction and oversees Alpine Towers’ construction projects from early planning and design coordination through scheduling, field operations, and completion.

He brings a hands-on background in construction, project management, and adventure-course work, focusing on practical solutions, strong communication, and supporting our builders in the field. Ryan lives in western North Carolina, where he enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family.

Adventure Hardware Equipment Sales Specialist

Jacob joined the office team in 2025 and represents our sister company Adventure Hardware taking care of all gear needs as our in house Equipment Sales Specialist.

PAT

Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Pat is a seasoned experiential educator/facilitator, builder, trainer, & inspector with over 45 years of experience. Pat currently serves as our Warehouse and Logistics manager.

He has led groups of all ages through challenge courses and on rock climbing, wilderness camping and trekking, and whitewater boating trips all over the world.

He holds degrees in Forestry and Wildlife Biology from North Carolina State University and served his country as a Helicopter Pilot for the US Army in Vietnam – 1970 and 1971.

Pat lives in the Mountains just east of Asheville, NC where he enjoys working with his bees, wood working, and hiking with his most patient wife Betty and faithful companion Sally the Beagle.

Maintenance Manager

Billy has been with Alpine Towers as far back as 1998 as part of our field team. He took on the role of Maintenance manager in early 2022.

Wayne’s extensive in-depth knowledge of the industry and challenge course construction & design has led him to become our Senior Advisor.
